Privacy policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Perlook.net is a marketplace for customers and independent beauty professionals. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account and contact details, including name, email address, telephone number, country, and marketplace role.
- Freelancer profile information, services, prices, portfolio images, private studio address details, bank or USDT withdrawal instructions, and government-document verification submissions.
- Booking, payment-reference, wallet, withdrawal, review, notification, and private booking-conversation records.
- For an approved YouTube feature: the submitted title, description, recorded country, rights consent, approval status, upload progress, and the resulting YouTube video identifier and link.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, display approved freelancer profiles, coordinate protected bookings, verify Paystack payments, maintain stylist wallets, review KYC and payout requests, prevent fraud, send service messages, support users, and comply with applicable law.
Official YouTube channel integration
Only an authorised Perlook administrator connects the official Perlook YouTube channel through Google OAuth. Perlook requests the minimum youtube.upload permission needed to publish administrator-approved stylist videos. OAuth access and refresh tokens are kept in protected server-side storage and are never provided to freelancers or included in public web pages.
After a stylist confirms that they own a recording or have permission from every identifiable person, Perlook reviews the submission. If approved, the selected video is forwarded in encrypted chunks to YouTube through Perlook's authorised channel connection. Perlook does not retain a video-file copy. We retain the submission metadata, consent record, review decision, transfer status, and resulting YouTube link for administration and audit.
Perlook's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We share only what is necessary with payment, email, SMS, hosting, security, Google/YouTube, and other service providers that help operate the marketplace; with the other party to a protected booking as described in the service; or when required to protect users, enforce agreements, or comply with law.
Private and sensitive information
Government documents are stored outside the public website and are available only to authorised administrators for identity review. Exact studio addresses and direct contact details are not published in marketplace listings. Payment credentials and OAuth credentials are kept server-side.
Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the marketplace, financial records, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, and documented consent. An administrator can disconnect the official YouTube channel, which removes Perlook's saved OAuth tokens and disables new uploads. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete eligible account or submission information. A published YouTube video may also need to be removed from the official channel.
Security and international processing
We use encrypted transport, access controls, private server-side storage, and administrative review processes. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Because Perlook is global, information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to appropriate operational and legal safeguards.
Your choices and contact
You may update profile information through the relevant portal, withdraw a pending video submission by contacting us, or request access, correction, deletion, or OAuth-channel disconnection where applicable. Contact hello@perlook.net with a privacy request.
